Regeneration, wellness and tranquillity: these are only few of the benefits that characterise artemisia, a plant well-known since ancient times for its properties. As a matter of fact, the word artemisia comes from the Greek word artemes, which means “healthy”, “in a good state”: a calling to wellness that has given the name to the dammuso that with its characteristics, location and hidden corners, represents a real cure for the soul, a peaceful oasis where you can have a regeneration holiday.
Located in Niká area, at the south west of Pantelleria, the dammuso Artemisia is a beautiful jewel of Mediterrean landscaping, where the main feature is the garden, perfectly kept, built up by the passion and experience of the owner, a well-known landscape architect. The result is pure beauty, expressed in the circular refrain that characterises spaces and hedges, the simplicity of blooming of spontaneous plants, typical of the Mediterrean area, like the artemisia. So there you have a place with infinite paths that step by step reveal the striking views from which you might contemplate the pantescan sunsets or the flickering of the black and green colours of the fields and the rocky mountain; peaceful spots where you can read a good book, have a walk in the nearby nature or to simply breathe deeply and plunge into a magical dimension.
This beautiful jewel box hosts a dammuso consisting of two buildings, very well furnished, that can hold up to 4 people in two double bedrooms. Inside the main structure, guest will be greeted in the beautiful living room overviewing the sea with a floor done in terracotta tiles and a chimney that clearly creates a warmer atmosphere. Just besides the living room there’s a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom- the shower and washbasin are inside the room, a small room with closets and a perfectly furnished kitchen, where the marble, wood and ceramics mix up for a Mediterrean touch. These ceramics are all along the different spaces, from the windows to the doors up until the head of the bed. The second dammuso, a little bit smaller but also very well-finished, has a living room, a double bedroom and a bathroom.
Just in front of the main dammuso, there’s a sail shadowed area from where you can admire the beautiful landscape; moreover, between the main building and the second dammuso there is a big outdoor kitchen with a table, chairs and barbecue perfect to organise lunch or dinner.
Privacy and total peace without giving up on anything: the dammuso Artemisia is located in Niká area, only few kilometres away from Scauri, one of the biggest villages in Pantelleria, where you can find shops, services and numerous restaurants. From the dammuso you have easy access to the thermal waters of Niká, the Sataria caves and the breath-taking Balata dei Turchi. Nevertheless, the nearby port of Scauri allows to easily rent a boat in order to explore from the sea the beauties of Pantelleria.
