Who has never been in Pantelleria often imagines a barren land, arid , an anteroom of the desert. Nothing more wrong than this: in spite of its name, the Black Pearl welcomes its guests with a surprising landscape, where the lava stone has generously created the perfect environment for a rich and lush nature. Is in this beautiful setting, between vineyards of Zibibbo grapes and Meditterean vegetation that the dammuso Corte di Ghirlanda is set: a recently renovated house, an oasis of peace and tranquillity surrounded by silence and, above all, zero light pollution. It’s here that the island sets a starry sky which fulfils your eyes every night.
Dammuso Corte di Ghirlanda: the pleasure of a holiday
The dammuso Corte di Ghirlanda includes two double rooms and can accommodate up to 4 people in a simple-style environment yet attention is given to every detail. Entering the dammuso you’ll find the living-room, a well-equipped kitchenette plus a dining table for 4 to 6 people and a comfortable sofa. On the left you’ll find a bright double bedroom with garden view, equipped with a spacious bathroom with shower. By crossing the hallway you’ll reach the master bedroom, characterised by a delightful four-posted bed. The other room, also overlooking the garden, is equipped with a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom. The outdoor spaces evoke the typical atmosphere of Pantelleria: a cosy terrace with a table and barbeque is the perfect spot for outdoor dines, under the shadow of the typical “cannizzo”. In addition to this, there’s a solarium area with wooden platform and deck chairs that allows you to relax and sun-bathe in total privacy and peace.
Dammuso Corte de Ghirlanda sourroundings
The dammuso is located at the South East of Pantelleria at a short diTracino and Khamma, where you can find shops and services and to dine in some of the most popular restaurants of the island. It’s a quiet area and at the same time strategically placed, allowing you to easily reach some places not to be missed when in Pantelleria including the spring pools of Gadirand the Arch of the Elephant in addition to the coves. Furtheermore, the picturesque port of Gadir is one of the starting point for excursions to find the numerous coves of the island.
