Hidden amongst trees and flowers in a dominant position inside an enormous estate is the Paradiso Verde dammuso which is one of the most beautiful in Pantelleria and one of the most evocative testimonials of stone archaeology in the Mediterranean area. A pattern of stone structures and shapes modulated one next to the other following the movement of the earth with rounded domes and vaults.
In total harmony with nature, Paradiso Verde is a unique residential area where antique furnishings are eclectically placed amidst the ultra-modern. There is a display of rural pieces of equipment belonging to its original structure, such as presses, grinders, dryers for raisins and lamps that embellish the dwelling like authentic sculptures.
A sequence of large and intimate alcoves, outbuildings, antique pavements made of earthenware tiles or majolica, terraces, gardens and verandas, a mosaic swimming-pool decorated with tiles found around Sicily and the island itself. Next to it there is a Jacuzzi reaching towards the sea with palm trees in the background.
The dammuso is divided into 2 units: one has a large fully-equipped and accessorized kitchen, apart from the large living-room with a table seating 14. The room is distinguished by its magnificent alcoves, where there is also a reading area with a library and armchairs.
The other dwelling provides up to 4 double-bedrooms, 2 of which have a living-room and private terrace, all furnished with antique furniture and ceiling fans, bathroom with shower and hairdryer, also an outdoor area with a table seating 14 and wicker armchairs.
The outside areas are exquisite and have the best features on Pantelleria: apart from its 70 m2 swimming pool and a Jacuzzi, both decorated with majolica. There is a solarium and a shaded area furnished with a table and sun beds. A Pantescan delight is its scented Arab garden with lemon and rose trees.
The dammuso Paradiso Verde is located in Contrada Rekhale on the south-western coast of Pantelleria: from the dwelling you can reach in just a few minutes Cala Rotonda, Balata dei turchi and Martigana, while at the same time having all its services conveniently close to hand in the nearby towns of Scauri and Rekhale.
Available on-demand are ad-hoc meals prepared by Master Chefs or guided boat trips and also the possibility to rent a car or scooter.
