Dammuso Monastir is made up of two adjacent buildings and can accomodate up to 6 people.
The first dammuso – which has a typical country-style stone porch with arches, called “occhio d’archetto” in local dialect - includes the master bedroom, with an alcove, a wardrobe and a bathroom, and also a kitchen, a dining room and another bathroom.
Next to the main house there is another dammuso including an inspiring living room with a fireplace, two double bedrooms and a fancy bathroom (with a shower in concrete and access from the outside).
Every feature of this dammuso calls to mind the architecture and history of the island:
all the floors are still covered with ancient original tiles and furniture has minimal design,
to keep the charming athmospheres from the past, without giving up to any comfort and a sense of luxury.
Outside, in addition to the covered stone porch is equipped with a dining table, there’s un uncovered terrace enjoying a great view over the sea, a swimming pool and solarium area, where you will find deckchairs to relax, either under the sun or in the shade.
Dammuso Monastir is on the hill of Kareb, a great place for its quietness, privacy and a great view over the sea, sunset and the nearby village of Scauri – one of the main villages in the island, where there are shops, reastaurants and most other useful services.
You can easily reach some of the most beautiful sites in the island, such as Nikà and Balata dei Turchi, along the coasts, or the natural sauna of Benikulà and several trekking paths offering visitors suggestive unforgettable views behind each corner.
