Pantelleria is an island that embraces the essence of the Mediterranean Sea: landscapes, colours and atmosphere, they all recall a unique dimension, just to discover and live. Beauty in its purest form, recalled by the name of a jewel located on the eastern side of the island: dammuso Venere.
Submerged in a luxuriant garden, between Mediterranean forest, cactuses and palm trees, the dammuso Venere is located in contrada Khamma. It’s a recent structure, where the perfume of plant life mixes with the scents of the sea and from where to admire the breath-taking view thanks to its external terraces.
The dammuso can host up to four people in two double bedrooms and has two buildings:
• The first one with terrace, swimming pool, kitchen, bonus room, bathroom and a bedroom with sea view;
• The second, just at a short distance from the first one, has a kitchen with terrace, bathroom and a bedroom with a terrace
Access to the first dammuso is through a living room with tv, chimney and dining table; finely decorated and with care to details, it becomes a modern atmosphere where Maghrebi charm mixes with a more classical style, creating a pleasant balancing and completed with the nicchia (alcove) where a well equipped kitchen is found. The structure includes a double bedroom, with a canopy bed and a bathroom with shower.
The second one is a little bit smaller; it has a comfortable terrace with access to the kitchen and to the double bedroom, with tv and a close-by bathroom, all of it blue-shaded.
Apart from the beautiful terraces with a view over the western coast of Pantelleria, the dammuso has a swimming pool and solarium, perfect for relaxing under the sun with total privacy and submerged into the quietness of the island.
Located not far from cala Gadir, the dammuso Venere is the perfect starting point for hiking and for excursions along the eastern coast of Pantelleria: from natural pools to the marvellous Scarpetta di Cenerentola, passing by the Elephant Arch (Arco dell’Elefante), cala Levante and cala Tramontana.
Even Venus Mirror (Specchio di Venere) is easily reached, and so are the villages of Khamma and Tracino, where restaurants, services and shops can be found. Furthermore, in order to make a tour of the island, it’s possible to rent boats at cala Gadir.
