Arriving in Pantelleria means entering a new dimension, completely different from the hectic and stressful reality that we normally live. Silence, peace, unpolluted air and just the sound of the sea and the wind: the perfect place to find a direct and privileged contact with nature, summed up perfectly by the dammuso Porta del Sole, located in Martingana, in one of the most beautiful and unpolluted areas of the island. Let’s take a look at it in detail.
It’s a romantic dammuso surrounded by the gentle slopes of Martingana and with a spectacular view over the sea: Porta del Sole hosts its guests in a typical pantescan house that has two double bedrooms, a living room and a kitchenette.
The dammuso is surrounded by the typical vineyard and Mediterranean vegetation and has a wide and comfortable covered terrace where there’s a dining table where to enjoy lunches and dinners overlooking the sea and there are comfortable ducchene and chaise longues to relax. To complete, there’s a very well organised and furnished barbecue area.
From the terrace, there’s an access directly into the living room, a very bright area, finely decorated, where there’s a kitchenette, with a spectacular sea view and a dining table. Next to the living room, there’s a hallway that takes to both bedrooms, romantic and comfortable and to the bathroom with shower.
WHERE IS LOCATED AND ITS SURROUNDINGS
The dammuso Porta del Sole is located in Martingana, in the south-west side of Pantelleria, one of the typical and wildest places of the island and from the property it’s possible to reach the sea by foot in order to discover the many small coves of the area. Moreover, the dammuso is not far from Cala Rotonda and, by car, it’s easy to also reach Balata dei Turchi or, going on the opposite direction, reach Arco dell’Elefante. The closest villages where to shop or dine are Khamma and Tracino, but let’s not forget the many restaurants and trattorie of Gadir and Cala Levante.
